Captain Ricky Bacle
Captain Ricky Bacle joined OPSO August 1, 1994, at Ouachita Correctional Center. After 13 months, Bacle transferred to the Uniform Patrol Division. During that time, he served as a member of the SWAT Team and SWAT Sniper, and was promoted to Sergeant until January 2011, when he was promoted to Lieutenant. After serving the department in that capacity, and with many letters of commendation, he was promoted to Captain of the Training Division, where he now serves.
Captain Bacle is responsible for all state mandated training and specialized job-related trainings each division requires, as well as maintaining records for all OPSO employees. Captain Bacle is also the Director of the North Delta Regional Training Academy, where law enforcement officers from the 12 parishes of Northeast Louisiana train to become POST Certified.
Captain Bacle graduated from the 291st Session of the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia.
The Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office Training Center houses the North Delta Regional Training Academy, serving the 12 parishes that make up the North Delta Region. Training is conducted by certified training instructors during the 18-week basic academies. Upon completion, officers are Peace Officer Standards & Training (P.O.S.T.) certified meeting all state requirements.
