ARE YOU OK?

The ARE YOU OK? program is designed for older adults, disabled persons, shut-ins who live alone, in our community, and needs to be checked upon daily.

ARE YOU OK? is a personal telephone calling system which is operated free of charge by the Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office.  A phone call is made to each enrollee, every day, at the same time.

When the enrollee answers the phone, he or she will be asked if he/she is OK.  If the enrollee fails to answer the phone after a few tries, or if there is a busy signal several times in a row, OPSO Communications will then send an officer to check on the person.
