Message From the Sheriff

I'm Ouachita Parish Sheriff Marc Mashaw. With over 34 years of law enforcement experience, and Chief Deputy for 12 years, serving our parish is a great honor.

I understand the importance of collaboration and building strong relationships throughout our community. Serving on many Boards of Directors has allowed me to learn how partnerships benefit us all.

I am grateful for the support and trust that the community has placed in me and I assure you that I will always prioritize the needs and concerns of our residents. As Sheriff, I will address the many challenges to create a safer and more prosperous Ouachita Parish. While all of us at OPSO are dedicated to upholding the highest standards of professionalism and accountability, we will continually seek opportunities for training and growth to better serve our community.
